Golden Eagle Wrestling Club
The Golden Eagle Wrestling Club ended their winter wrestling season at one of the toughest tournaments in the United States. Over 2,500 wrestlers from 31 states made the journey to Denver, CO to participate in Rocky Mountain Nationals. The Golden Eagles competed over three days (March 15-17) in both Freestyle and Folkstyle wrestling. As a team, the Golden Eagles placed 6th Overall and 4th in the All-Star Division out of approximately 550 teams. The Golden Eagles claimed seven (7) national titles which was two better than in 2017. In addition, they had 10 placers in the tournament. Brave Dolan won the Rookie Division and placed in 6th in the experienced division. This was the first time Dolan competed in the experienced division. Chance Robb, Braxton Reimer, and Darrell Gibson repeated their dominance from the Wild West Championships. In addition, Dolan came in 3rd place in the Rookie of the Year standings out of rookie wrestles across all age and weight divisions. He won Who’s Bad, Wild West, and Rocky Mountain Nationals. Another high note was Coach Adam Carey competing in the tournament. Coach Adam won the Open Division, 197 lb weight bracket by dominating his opponents with a Major decision and Fall in the finals.
