ADAM CAREY

ASSISTANT COACH

Coach Adam has been involved in wrestling since he started high school in 2004. Throughout his time at Saguaro High School in Arizona he was a 3-time state qualifier, placing 3rd his junior season at 152lbs and winning the State Championship his senior year at 171lbs. While in high school, Coach Adam actively competed in Freestyle and Greco tournaments in the offseason. He competed in the Junior National Championships for Team Arizona in Fargo, North Dakota was an All-American (7th)  in Greco-Roman at 189lbs.

After high school, Coach Adam competed in college and was a 4 year starter at Colorado State University-Pueblo at 184lbs. During that time he was ranked as high as 7th in the country and was also a 2- time Academic All-American. During college, Coach Adam continued wrestling Greco-Roman, placing 3rd at 79 kg Fila Jr Nationals in 2010, Placing 3rd at 79 kg University Nationals in 2010, and Placing 4th at 84kg University Nationals in 2012. He placed 3rd in the U.S. Olympic Team Regional Qualifier in 2012.

Coach Adam was an assistant coach on the 2011, Colorado High School National team that competed in Fargo North Dakota at the Cadet and Junior National Championships. Since college Coach Adam has been competing. He won Gold at the 2019, Rocky Mountain National tournament and competed in men's Sr. Division at the 2019,  Marines US Open tournament. In addition, Coach Adam has competed in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu winning the 2016 Colorado State BJJ Championship, 2016 Colorado open and taking Silver at the 2017 Tournament of Champions, and taking 3rd at the National No-Gi Championships. Coach Adam has a passion for wrestling and is very excited  to help wrestlers achieve their goals and continue to grow the sport.
